Cult Jeans

Posted on: August 20, 2006

I love jeans. Jeans are my staple wardrobe for school. And lately, I have an affinity for cult jeans. They’re very expensive (and sadly out of my budget) but it’s not wrong to just admire them, right? Well at least for now. 😉

At the top of my list is Victoria Beckham’s range from Rock and Republic. It’s cropped and I love cropping my jeans sometimes. 🙂

Seven for All Mankind’s Kate jeans are also lovely. Inspired by Kate Moss, of course. I like the pastel embroidery on the back pockets.

Then there’s also Citizens of Humanity.

Well there’s much more cult jeans out there like Hudsons, J Brand, Frankie B, True Religion…They all cost about S$300 and up. But I think they’re worth the investment if you’re a tee and jeans kind of person. After all, a mass brand like Levi’s can fetch up to almost S$200.

If you live in Singapore and are looking for cult jeans, Inhabit at Palais Renaissance and Queen’s Couture at The Heeren have quite a range.

If you want a webbie with an exhaustive (almost) list of cult jeans, go here.

Slightly off the subject maybe, but a plea for people to think about the ethics of purchasing items like designer clothes. Do try and consider, for example, the things your product is made from, the human rights of the factories where they’re manufactured and the green credentials of retailers. Oh, and endeavour to recycle rather than throwing away. Thanks!!!!
